NOT JUST SAND...
Although Namibia is best identified by the iconic images of it's famous sand dunes, there is so much more to this stunning destination.
Your trip will invariably start and end in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia, which along with the other cities like Swakopmund and Lüderitz still show signs of its German and complicated colonial heritage going back over 100 years, either located high up in the desert or close to the sea.
As a premier wildlife destination, you can visit the unique salt pans of Etosha National Park, see the famous desert lions and elephants in Damaraland, support the black rhinos by visiting these areas that all help the conservation of these precious species.
Namibia has a long history of culture with many major tribes including the San "bushmen" - whose cave paintings going back 10,000 years can be seen in Twyfelfontein. The Himba are a nomadic people from the Skeleton Coast and Kunene area and are known for their unique red ochre hairsyles and smooth skin.
Discover the ship wrecks reclaimed by the desert south of Swakopmund before marveling at the jaw-dropping vast scenery of Sossusvlei in the south - home to some of the largest sand dunes in the world, majestic in their red and orange splendour made even more dramatic with the contrast of fossilised black tree skeletons.
There is so much to discover here that it is not easily done in just one trip, so even if you have been to Namibia before, get in touch today to see what there is to see, do and experience!
