POPULAR DIVE SITES
The diving in Malta & Gozo is pre-dominantly shore based with the opportunity for some boat dives around Comino. Because the topography varies so much each dive site is unique but also offers diving for all levels, so you can quite often see people diving for the very first time on the same site as experienced as well as technical divers.
Due the size of the islands you can dive everyday regardless of wind direction - there will always be somewhere to dive. And with the clear blue waters, sunny skies and short distances you will be able to explore many of the dive sites whilst you are there. Popular dive sites include:
Cirkewwa - the northern port home to 2 wrecks - the Rozi & P29 as well as beautiful wall dives and reefs
Blue Grotto - dive the magnificent Um El Faroud, Divers Helmet and the stunning reef walls
Valletta Harbour - history amongst the wreck of HMS Maori
Gozo - discover the depths of the Blue Hole & the magnificence of The Inland Sea
Comino Caves make for fun swim-thrus and reefs
Anchor Bay - home to the Popeye Village, an awesome cave and a beautiful boulder landscape

Learning To Dive
Malta has many PADI Dive Centres all over the island that cater for all levels of divers. Most dive centres will collect you from your accommodations in the morning and bring you back once your dive day has finished.
Malta is also an ideal location to complete your PADI Open Water Course as a referral, meaning you can get all your dive theory & confined water sessions done first in the UK at your local dive centre.
