When to go
France is a year round destination.
The winter season usually starts at the beginning of December to mid-April with some of the higher resorts staying open until mid-May. Summer skiing is also possible in some of the glacial resorts.
Summer season is normally May through to October.
Travel Time
There are several ways to reach France.
Self-drive
Via the Euro Tunnel which takes 35 minutes and then obviously your own drive time to Folkestone and then from Calais to destination.
Ferry crossings
Dover to Calais 90 minutes as well as many other routes depending on where you live
Eurostar
London St Pancras to Paris 2 hours 20 minutes
Flights from UK to France under 2 hours

French time is GMT + 1 hour
Visa Requirements
UK passport holders do not require a visa if you don't exceed your visit by more than 90 days.
